For the past 25 years I developed training materials and taught classes for the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), International Association of Electrical Inspectors (IAEI), National Technology Transfer, Inc., and American Trainco, Inc. I served as their Senior NEC Instructor and Program Director for many Fortune 500 companies, State, Local and City government agencies. References and resume available upon request.

Welcome! I have been involved in the training of electricians, inspectors, and other persons in the electrical industry for many years. I have authored and edited NFPA and IAEI publications and their training materials that were developed to help in the use and understanding of the National Electrical Code.
I have had the pleasure, and honor of working directly as a member of the NFPA NEC Committees and the Code Panel Chairmen and members who were responsible for reviewing the proposals for revisions of the National Electrical Code since 1984.

Joe Tedesco, IAEI Certified Electrical Inspector, Massachusetts Licensed Master Electrician, NEC Consultant and Trainer Nationwide.
Joe Tedesco is certified as a one and two family, general electrical inspector and electrical plans examiner by IAEI.
Joe is licensed as a Journeyman and Master Electrician in Massachusetts, and holds a lifetime occupational teacher's approval as an electrical instructor in Massachusetts and California.
Joe worked for various electrical contracting firms and industrial companies as an apprentice, helper, journeyman and maintenance electrician in New York City, Long Island and New England. As a civilian employee Joe worked as an electrician for the Department of the Army in Fort Totten, NY and Milford, CT. He was Assistant Electrical Inspector for the City of New Haven, CT and Senior Electrical Inspector for the Cities of Glendale and Pasadena, CA. He was an Electrical Designer and Electrical Inspector for Store, Matakovich and Wolfberg, Electrical, Plumbing and Mechanical Engineers in Elmonte, CA.
Joe was an Electrical Field Service Specialist for the NFPA and Staff Liaison to Code Making Panels for the NEC NEC 70 Technical Committee and the Committee on Electrical Equipment of Industrial Machinery NFPA 79. He assisted in the editing of the NEC-TCR and TCD, and Advanced Printings of the NEC and served as an Associate Editor for the 1984 National Electrical Code Handbook. Joe also assisted in the development of, and was an electrical code instructor for, the NFPA NEC, NTT, American Trainco workshops and seminars held nationwide.
Joe was a former member of the National Electrical Code Committee, and represented the IAEI on the NCPCCI Electrical Advisory Board.
Joe has trained apprentice, journeymen and master electricians to prepare them for their first journeyman or master electrical contractors license and is certified as a code update provider in Massachusetts.

During my career I contributed to a broad spectrum of electrical functions that were reflected in the activities of various technical committees, technical inquiries, and external organization interests.
My responsibilities included:
1. Technical Committees
*Served as staff liaison to NFPA technical committees working with technical committees such as the National Electrical Code Committee;
*Assisted in the writing, editing and processing of NFPA standards;
*Coordinated with other staff with respect to references contained in other codes and standards.
2. Technical Services
*Conferd with manufacturers, researchers, enforcement authorities and others to obtain pertinent information;
*Studied literature and other sources of information to maintain familiarity with developments;
*Provided verbal and written information and data to concerned persons within the scopes of assigned committees;
3. Product/Member Services
*Assisted in the writing, editing and production of the NEC, the NEC Handbook and related documents and publications;
*Authored and edited materials for electrical industry publications;
*Authored and edited materials for Continuing Education programs;
*Instructed at NEC-related Continuing Education Seminars of the throughout the USA;
4. External Liaison
*Maintained liaison with federal, state, and local officials regarding regulations that affect electrical safety and the NEC;
*Represented views on technical committees and other technical organizations;
*Made technical and education presentations to other organizations.
